    Conditioned Your Hair

Hair is considered the crowning glory of every woman. That is why it is very important to keep it healthy and shiny everyday. Most of the women will immediately go to a salon to have their hair treated. But for those who are short in their budget, you can still achieve gorgeous hair by conditioning your hair. Conditioning your hair regularly will improve its strength, shine and keep hair damage to a minimum, though it’s not actually repairing the damaged hair. The conditioner will help smooth the cuticles, reduce static electricity, protect against UV damage and enhance the overall appearance of the hair says Dr. D’Anne Kleinsmith.
Conditioners will also help keep the hair cortex hydrated. It gives moisture content of the hair by improving the weatherproofing of the cuticle. The length, the kind of hair, the chemical processing it endures and the frequency of using hot styling equipments you use are all factors to consider on conditioning routine. There are two kinds of conditioners. One is the volume conditioners. It has ingredients that will plump up the hair. It is made up of grapefruit or some type of citric ingredient. Second is the smoothing conditioners, it has more oils or lanolin to help coat the hair shaft.
Fine or Thin Hair - This type of hair cannot hold a high level of conditioning agents. So in order that the conditioner will be effective, try to put conditioner just the middle and ends of your hair where it is the most susceptible to damage. If your hair is very fine, you can use a leave-in conditioning spray, which can boasts a lighter formulation and help strengthen the hair shaft.
Thick Hair – Unlike fine hair, thick hair can hold a lot of conditioning ingredients, so it is recommended to have more intensive conditioning products. Other option is putting a detangling night treatment which helps detangle and repair the hair while sleeping.
Curly Hair – Hair experts recommend conditioning your hair every time you shampoo. For days that you cannot shampoo, just run a conditioner through your corkscrews if they become bulky and tousled, this will help your hair relax and detangle easily. Rinse your scalp thoroughly but leave some trace of conditioner in your hair strands. To avoid dehydration and frizz, you can use a deep conditioning mask every two weeks. Cover it with a shower cap or plastic wrap and blow dry it for about five cm above your head five to ten minutes. If the hair is dehydrated use a basic conditioner to detangle and followed by a leave-in conditioner to maintain the moisture.

    Know Your Beauty Etiquette

Manners and good etiquette are very important factors that we need to display wherever we go. If there are right manners in eating there are also right manners for beauty. For beauty points of view, the manners you wear can be a kind of perfume you spray to your body. That is why manners play a larger role in defining your style and brand. I guess everybody is doing this casual manner which we think is correct like combing, fixing your makeup anywhere, too much scent in our body etc. But there are tips to make  it right and in order.
    1.      Fragrance tactic- To know how much is too much. Use your right arm; stretch them out making a 360 angle. That is considered your scent circle. That is how far your perfume should reach. Beyond that point can be irritating to the other person especially if you have a strong smell of scent. If unsure of the smell you can ask some friends to give comment so you can correct it earlier.
    2.      Combing of Hair. There is a simple rule. Brush your hair inside the bathroom or in a private place – not on your desk, at the bus, or at the dinning table. If you are at someone’s home do not leave the bathroom floor or sink with some hair, as a courtesy to the next user use a tissue paper to pick up the hair and throw it to the garbage basket.
What about this situation. How do you tell someone politely if she has lipstick on her teeth or has anything on her face? Speak up! If you were the other person, wouldn’t you want to know? Just do it as discreetly and as respectfully as you can, especially if it’s a higher-up at work or a business acquaintance. For friends, it should be easier and less sensitive. Casually point it out and move along.

    The Importance of Concealer

Even how I tried to follow my daily beauty routine still I wake up with under-eye bags or dark circles which they said resulted from lack of sleep, fluid retention, hay fever and other factors. Some Dermatologist said that the thin tissue around the eye is more prone to stress than the other areas of the skin. That is why it is one of the problem areas of women. But a good concealer can help hide the problem. You just have to know the right shade and formula for each type of skin. Each color represents something different that is why they are often packed side by side in a single compact. That is why I’ve been using concealer to hide my under eye dark circles. So far it works and I feel confident facing to people.

    Main Causes of Liver Damage

The liver is one of the vital organ in our body. It has a wide range of functions like detoxification, protein synthesis, and production of biochemicals necessary for digestion. Therefore, we should take care liver in order not to get sick. And if our liver is healthy it follows that we also look beautiful. That is why we should adopt a good daily lifestyle and eating habits. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our bodies to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to 'schedule.' We can prevent this without necessarily spending more. Below are some of the wrong habits that we should stop in order to maintain good liver.

    1. Sleeping too late and waking up too late are main cause.

    2. Not urinating in the morning.

    3 . Too much eating.

    4. Skipping breakfast.

    5. Consuming too much medication.

    6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring, and artificial sweetener.

    7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil.
As much as possible reduce cooking oil when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil. Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is very fit.

    8. Consuming raw (overly done) foods also add to the burden of liver.
Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.

Ten Easy Steps on Applying Make-up

Looking beautiful is what everybody wants to have. So it is important to know the techniques and the correct way of putting make-up on our face. Here are a few tips to consider in speeding up our daily routine and achieving the best results on our face.

    · Apply a concealer that is lighter than your foundation. Dot it over on any blemishes or under-eye circles and blend with your fingertips or a makeup sponge. If you’re using a cake concealer, apply the eye cream first.

    · Choose foundation that matches exactly with your skin tone. Apply it in dots over the central part of your face; blend it out with a makeup sponge or using your fingertips until it covers your entire face.

    · Use a loose or pressed powder to keep foundation and concealer stay longer on your face. Use pressed powder to touch up when you're away from home.

    · Do your eyebrows next. Use powdered eyebrow shadow on brows instead of pencil, which can often look unnatural. Apply it with a hard, slanted brush.

    · Choose three colors of eye shadow: light, medium and dark. Use the dark only to line your upper eyelid, in a fairly thin line along the upper lashes. Use the medium shade for the crease and the lightest shade for the area under the eyebrow.

    · Apply eyeliner. Use cake eyeliner with a damp, thin liner brush, or an eyeliner pencil, and line the lower lid below the lashes. Line only the outer two-thirds of the lower lid, or all the way across if you're trying to achieve a darker look. Line all the way across the upper lid or start the line where your lashes begin.

    · Apply mascara to upper and lower lashes, in two thin coats to avoid clumsiness. Choose brown mascara if your coloring is fair; black or brown-black works well for darker coloring.

    · Smile to find the apples of your cheeks, and apply blush to the apples or below, whichever you prefer.

    · Choose a lipstick color that's suited to your skin tone and that's perfect for your day look. You can mix colors and textures to suit your moods and your outfit.

    · Line lips after applying lipstick, not before. That way you won't end up with a dark circle of lip liner after your lipstick has worn off. Avoid combining very dark lip liner and pale lipstick.

Being conscious with how we look is important especially when we are dealing with people.

    10 Tips For Better Sleep

Adults need eight full hours of sleep and teens need nine hours and 15 minutes says John Shepard, Jr. M.D. However the average person only gets seven hours and 25 minutes of sleep per night.

You don't have to count sheep in order to sleep, by following the 10 tips for better sleep you can have a restful sleep during the night. Just try one or two or a combination until you have enough and quality sleep to feel alert and rested during the night.

    1. Stick to a schedule and don't sleep late on weekends. Don't sleep late on Saturday and Sunday you'll get a Sunday night insomia. Instead, go to bed and get up at the same time every day. Don't rely on the alarm clock to wake you up when you get enough sleep.

    2. Don't eat or drink a lot before bedtime. Eat only light dinner two hours before sleeping. And also do not drink too much liquid before sleeping you'll wake up repeatedly in the night to go to the bathroom. Don't eat spicy or fatty foods. These foods will cause heartburn. Avoid eating midnight snacks. Don't drink alcohol near bedtime. It will cause you to snore or develop sleep apnea.

    3. Avoid caffeine and nicotine. They will keep you awake because of the additive stimulants present in these food and cigarette.

    4. Exercise. For a better sleep, the best time to exercise is in the afternoon. It enhances the deep and refreshing stage of sleep.

    5. A slightly cool room is ideal for sleeping. Try to sleep in warmer night clothes and wear socks if your room is cold. Use also blankets. If it's hot at night wear light night clothes and sleep under a single sheet.

    6. Sleep only at night. Daytime naps steal hours from nighttime slumber. Limit daytime sleep up to 20 minutes. if you work in the nights, keep window curtains closed so that you will not be bothered by the rays of the sunlight. If you have a day job and sleep at night, leave the window curtains open and let the sun's light wake you up.

    7. Keep it quiet. silence is more conducive to sleep. Turn off the radio and tv. You can use earplugs to mask sound that you cannot control such as a snoring partner, busy street, vehicles blowing horns, etc.

    8. Make your bed. Make sure you have a comfortable bed that offers a good night sleep. Go to bed when your tired and turn out the lights. do not agonize about falling asleep, stress will only prevent from sleeping.

    9. soak and sack out. Taking a hot shower or bath before bed helps bring on sleep because they can relax the tense muscles.

    10. Don't rely on sleeping pills. Check with your doctor before taking any medicine for sleeping.

    1. Keep your diet balanced, eat protein and calcium rich foods. This is essential for healthy hair. Stay away from eating junk foods!

    2. Foods and supplements that will give nourishment to your hair:

    • Beans
    • Yogurt
    • Almonds
    • Vitamin B
    • Fish
    • And of course, the most substantial - WATER

    3. Before taking a bath, comb your hair to make sure that all knots has been loosened from your hair.

    4. Before applying shampoo, use warm water (35 to 38 degrees Celsius) to run through your hair to rinse and wet it thoroughly.

    5. When applying shampoo or conditioner, don't use your fingernails to scrape your hair. Instead, use your palm and fingertips to massage your scalp and hair gently, in circular motions. This will help the circulation and also help to keep your hair shiny and smooth.

    6. After rinsing away all the shampoo, run water over your hair for at least another half a minute (3 minutes is best) to ensure there are no remains of shampoo remaining in your hair, since this will cause a great deal of damage to your scalp.

    7. When applying hair treatment products, do so just after you have washed your hair, so that your hair can absorb all the good stuff while it is half wet. This will be the best time for it to absorb nourishment.

    8. NEVER go to bed with your hair wet! Hair that is half wet is most easily broken, and if you sleep during this time, your hair will be rubbing against each other, damaging your hair in the most terrible way.

    9. Too much pressure may lead to hair loss! Relax... try some good relaxation methods such as soaking in a nice scented bath, listening to music, and eating healthy comfort foods such as strawberries and grapes.

    10. Terming and coloring seriously damages your hair. Avoid it as much as possible. When using hair setting products such as gel or putty, use only a little amount as

    1. Match colors to your skin tone. Basically there are two groups of colors: cool and warm. Try to check your veins whether your color is cool or warm. Ways to Stop Picking At Acne

    1. Identify high risk areas: Set a limit for how much time you spend looking to mirrors.
    2. Blow it off: Inhale deeply. Exhale completely, this can help release tension and create an overall feeling of well-being.
    3. Touch if you must: While avoidance of pimples is probably the best choice, some of us "need" to touch the pimple. Gentle pressure or in circular massage can alleviate the urge and tension.
    4. Practice Alternate Behaviors: Redirect your energy. Activities such as, exercise, and self-hypnosis can all help squash the impulse to squeeze. Leave your home when the urge to pop is very strong. And avoid popping on public.
    5. Scar Scare. Visualize the damage that squeezing or picking produces, like scarring and redness.
    6. Pick Up The Phone: If popping and picking is taking over your life, consider contacting a mental health professional.

What is the most essential nutrient do we need in order for us to actively participate in chemical reactions; lubricates and cushions joints, eyes, spinal cord; aids in body-temperature maintenance and serves as the solvent for many small molecules? The answer is WATER. Many of us just think that water is for quenching our thirst but in reality it is the most important nutrient in our diet. It is very important to drink the right type and amount of fluid to stay healthy especially when our body excretes more sweat during hot season and hard days work
Amount of Fluid Needed Each Day
If you are one of the many people who find it hard to drink the recommended six to eight glasses of water a day, don't lose hope. Most fruits and vegetables contain up to 95 percent water, and many meats and cheeses contain at least 50 percent. A key point is NOT to wait until you're thirsty. If you're thirsty, it means your body has already lost more water than it should have, and it's urging you to fill up the tank. An easy way to check your fluid status is to look at the color of your urine. It should be a very pale yellow. If it's a dark yellow, it means that you're not drinking enough.
    Type of Fluid Needed
Water -- First and foremost, our bodies need water. Juice and milk have a high percentage of water, but they also contain calories. If you're watching your weight, drink water. Avoid caffeinated beverages such as most sodas and regular coffee, as caffeine actually causes the body to lose water. The same goes for alcohol.
If you exercise during hot weather, you may prefer a sports drink. Sports drinks contain electrolytes such as sodium and potassium, which are lost in sweat. The salt also makes us thirsty, causing us to drink even more. Juice and soda aren't absorbed as easily during exercise, so save them for before or after your activity.

    Going Easy On Your Pancreas

Most people with acute pancreatitis recover completely. But even if you experience no lingering symptoms, it is still important to take necessary steps to keep your pancreas healthy as possible. Below are some of the important things to remember:

    1. Avoid alcohol. If you can’t voluntarily stop from drinking an alcohol, seek treatment for alcoholism. Because abstaining may or may not reduce your pain but it will reduce your risk of dying from the disease. That is why it is important to really stop from drinking alcohol.
    2. Eat smaller meals. The more you eat, the greater the amount of digestive juices your pancreas must produce. Instead of large meals, eat smaller but eat frequently.
    3. Limit fat in your diet. This will help reduce loose and oily stools that result from a lack of pancreatic enzymes. You should eat healthy foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and lean protein sources.
    4. Follow a high-carbohydrate diet. A carbohydrate gives you the energy to help fight fatigue. Try to get most of your daily calories from complex carbohydrates found in grains, vegetables and legumes.
